A Disney trip is largely decided by which area you book your hotel in. First get a feel for the city from the map, then learn how to reach the parks, and finally check "how you'll get around if you stay in that area" — in that order.

① First, get a feel for the city

Urayasu access map: Urayasu Station on the Tozai Line; Maihama and Shin-Urayasu Stations on the JR Keiyo Line; Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea; the three hotel areas (Resort / Bayside / Riverside) with hotel counts; out-of-city stations (Kasai, Myoden, Kasai-Rinkai-Koen, Ichikawa-Shiohama); and local bus and airport limousine routes.
Tokyo Metro Tozai Line JR Keiyo Line Disney Resort Line Local & Osampo bus Limousine bus & taxi Outside the city (Tokyo / Ichikawa)
Positions are approximate. The Disney Resort Line is a 4-station loop monorail (the 2 park stations are omitted). From Urayasu Station and Motomachi you can reach the Maihama and Shin-Urayasu areas by local bus (dashed). The local bus from Shin-Urayasu Station runs via Sports Park and OLC Head Office to Maihama Station (it does not pass through Shinmachi). Airport limousine buses also serve Kasai Station (outside the city).

② From the airports and Tokyo Station to the parks

How to move on a day you head straight to the parks. If you arrive by rail, you can also check "the last leg from Maihama Station" here.

③ Your area choice shapes the whole trip

The map's three colors are the three hotel areas. For each, here's how you move on "arrival day" and on "daily park trips."
Staying in the Resort area (Maihama · Chidori) Parks first
e.g. MiraCosta / Hilton Tokyo Bay / Maihama Eurasia — 17 hotels
Arrival day (Airport / Tokyo Sta. → Hotel)
Haneda Airport Limousine busapprox. 35–60 min · no transfer Straight to your hotel
From Tokyo Station: JR Keiyo Line approx. 15 min → Maihama Sta. → walk / hotel shuttle / Limousine bus also runs from Narita (approx. 60–90 min)
Hotels in the Chidori area (e.g. Maihama Eurasia) have no direct airport limousine bus. Take the limousine bus to a park, then move by shuttle bus, on foot, or by taxi (or take the JR to Maihama Station).
Daily park trips (each morning & evening)
Hotel Walk / Resort Line / shuttle busapprox. 5–15 min Parks
Check each hotel's website for shuttle bus times and availability.
Good for: rope-drop at opening / minimizing travel with kids / aiming for Happy Entry
Staying in the Bayside area (Shin-Urayasu Sta. front · Shinmachi) Space & value
e.g. Oriental Hotel (station-connected) / Hotel Emion Tokyo Bay / Hyatt Regency — 16 hotels
Arrival day (Airport / Tokyo Sta. → Hotel)
Haneda Airport Limousine busapprox. 35–60 min Shin-Urayasu Sta. / some hotels Shuttle / local bus / taxiapprox. 5–15 min Hotel
Some Shinmachi hotels have a direct airport limousine bus (e.g. Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay). From Shin-Urayasu Sta., options include shuttle bus, taxi, and local bus.

Check each hotel's website for shuttle bus times and availability.
Daily park trips (each morning & evening)
Hotel Shuttle busapprox. 15–25 min Parks
Local tip: take a local or Osampo bus, get off at "Sports Park" or "OLC Head Office," then walk toward DisneySea (check service times).
Good for: relaxed multi-night stays / larger rooms for groups & families / days you don't visit the parks
Staying in the Riverside area (around Urayasu Sta. · Motomachi) Lowest prices · old-town
e.g. BAYHOTEL Urayasu Ekimae / Urayasu Sun Hotel / Henn na Hotel Maihama — 7 hotels
Arrival day (Tokyo Sta. / central Tokyo → Hotel)
Otemachi / Nihombashi Tokyo Metro Tozai Lineapprox. 17–20 min Urayasu Sta. Walk, or bus / taxiStation area 1–5 min walk / Motomachi ~30 min walk Hotel
Hotels in Motomachi are about a 30-min walk from Urayasu Station. Given the distance, a local bus or taxi is recommended. You can also come from Maihama Station by bus or taxi (approx. 5–10 min).
From the airports, about 40–70 min by rail with transfers. Airport limousine buses do not stop at Urayasu Station (the neighboring Kasai Station has them; hotels outside the city such as Kasai and Ichikawa are covered in a separate article).
Daily park trips (each morning & evening)
Hotel Local bus / taxiapprox. 15–25 min Parks
From Urayasu Sta. and Motomachi, local buses reach both the Maihama and Shin-Urayasu areas (dashed routes on the map).
